Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – Sri Devi Navaratri Festival Mysore – Panchami – September 27, 2025

Om Ayim Hreem Shreem Shri Lalita Parameshvaryai Namaha.

The train to Ayodhya (for the December inauguration) is already booked and most seats are taken. You can enquire with Narayana Rao ji to check if there are spots available.

The Ayodhya Ashrama is very small. But we wanted an Ashram there since it is Moksha Puri (City of Liberation). Swamiji is also getting a small Sri Rama Shrine built there.

It is only a two-day program there. A devotee from Narasaraopet is taking care of all the construction there. There is only a Guru Nilayam there, no room for accommodations. All the programs take place in a different Ashrama that is much bigger. There is no paucity of rooms for stay since it’s a theertha kshetra. You can get there using your mode of travel. You can see the Hanuman temple there as well as the Sarayu river. You can also go to nearby places like Kasi if you are able to.

Today, we inaugurated Yoga Sangeeta Nada Bhavana. One day, I was meditating on Somanath and when Prasad asked Me who should inaugurate the place, I suddenly said Soma. And Prasad found Somanna, the state Railways minister, who is an ardent devotee as well.

The Nada Bhavana hall is very wonderful. The seats are cozy; you will not feel like getting up. You must use the reclining seats. I felt like just staying there, it was so relaxing. We forget the world. They are creating a new visual to present on the screen each day. That is good. They are also implementing surround sound now, so you will hear various sounds from various directions. I told them to use technology well. I found good children to do this. They are working hard and following the daily instructions and changes from Swamiji. Whatever Swamiji takes up, He will not let go until it is perfect. Otherwise, He will not even take it up.

Whether a small temple, or a Bonsai plant, or a small fountain, or laying a road, I like it to be perfect. We will spend more money if needed, but we should not run into frequent repairs later. The new rooms in our Ashrama are very good. We should, of course, learn to adjust in life. Life means adjustment and changes, but Swamiji wishes for perfection in everything. It feels like Swamiji is following Vastu science, but that’s not the case. Swamiji does not like items being misplaced. Things should be put back where they belong.

Many people offer a bottle of water and while you are drinking, they walk away with the lid. You drink the water, and not finding the lid, put the bottle aside; someone accidentally kicks it and the water spills. You should not leave a used plate sitting for long. You must wash it immediately. Do not let your hands dry after you eat. You must wash your hands immediately. You must never wash your hands in the plate you eat in. it is alright to wash it in a fingerbowl, though.

Some people will dip their hands in their cup of water after eating, and someone might drink the water without realizing. I do not like this dipping of hands. Some people eat and then just wipe their hands. You must wash your hands. People leave their coffee and tea cups unwashed. It attracts flies. And then they reuse that cup when drinking coffee or tea again.

Yet some others, if they find a strand of hair in their food will pick up the strand, wipe off the food from the strand, and put the food back in their mouth. Some others will scratch their body all over and then lick their nails. Some others bite their nails, and spit it all around; just why not use a nail cutter?

A man was walking on the road, his foot hit something on the road that was warm. He stops, lifts his foot, picks up what is stuck to his foot and smells it to see what it is. Is it human or animal poop? Is this what you want to know? You want to confirm your suspicions?
Some people wear washed clothes outside, but wear dirty inner clothes. That is not good. That is why we give some of the workers here inner clothes as well.

What about Panipuri (street food)? Should I tell you about them?

It has become a trend these days, especially for college girls, to beeline the panipuri street food vendor. The vendor uses his bare hands that he scratches the body with and then dips his hands in the food to serve you.

I saw some videos showing the food factories, it was disgusting to see. People eat panipuri and masala dosa with great relish. Some of these outside eateries have cooks who swipe off their sweat from their brows and other places of their body and sprinkle it on the dosa. And people eat it with relish, calling it perfectly salted! Don’t you all feel like throwing up after you eat these things? You must be clean and healthy. Why not eat something home cooked?

Get rid of these bad and evil habits.

This composition is beseeching Mother to listen to our petition – our grief.

I thought of this composition while going on a train. The rhythm of this composition matches the rhythm of the train movement.
