Feeling very happy that I have come with our Malaysia Datta family to this holy Batu Caves, for having the Lord’s darshan. Lord Muruga resides in this place in His physical form (Pratyaksha). The traditional rituals took place very well. The priest performed the rituals in utmost devotion and concentration. I wanted to visit this holy place from long, fulfilled it today. You are all very lucky to have come here with me today as it is Friday, very auspicious.
Poojya Appaji has consecrated Maragath a(Emerald) Muruga (Subramanya) in Mysore which is rare in this world. Sri Aruna Giri Nathar has spoken about Maragatha (emerald) peacock only, but Maragatha Muruga has come in Mysore. Appaji has organized special abhishekam to the Lord today and when I saw the same here, I felt as if its in Mysore itself. My mind traveled to Mysore. This is a very special/holy place. It doesn’t seem like a mountain to me. Its as if a Rishi (sage) has manifested into this. A gigantic Rishi, after his daily routines has seated here for meditaiton and the Lord resides in a cave (guha) here, which is the Rishi’s heart.

Where is the Lord? He is in the cave. We can search the Lord anywhere, He can be found everywhere, but its of no use if you haven’t searched for Him ‘inside’. First, search for Him, look out for Him inside, the cave . That’s why Lord has been consecrated in this cave. Everyone knows that I wanted to see our Malaysia devotees and the Lord in this cave. I have always heard about this place, beautiful and happy Lord Muruga who instantly fills your heart with happiness in a sight. Came here with a lot of expectations, but His darshan surpassed my expectations, by giving me more Aananda (happiness) than I wished/desired for.
Next year 2012, we all will celebrate Appaji’s 70th birthday in Mysore ashram. Everyone will offer many things to Appaji, where actually its Appaji who gives us everything and what we give Him is very meager. We brag about out seva, again its Appaji who is serving us. He has put forth his life for us. His very Avatar incarnation is for us. We are just returning Him back His giving’s. Its like offering Arghya (water for reception) to God while standing in the sea. The water in the sea is given His creation, we are just returning it back to Him with gratitude. Likewise, Appaji has given us everything, which we are just returning back in installments in form of service. For such a benevolent Guru, we have to offer something, but what to offer? What offering can be ‘enough’? Gold? Money? Nothing…nothing can repay the debt we owe to Guru! As my thoughts wandered thinking about the perfect offering to Appaji, ofcourse nothing can satiate the debt.
Nadupalani is one holy place which is very close to Appaji’s heart. Nadupalani is in between Palani and Vadapalani. Sri Muthuswami donated this place to Appaji/Datta Peetham. Appaji has consecrated Maragatha Dandayudhapani there. In the same place, a 70 feet gigantic Subramanya swami has to be built and ‘gifted’ to Appaji. Before commencing with the task, I wanted to see Lord carved/built on the same lines. On a casual discussion with Prasad and Manasa Datta about this and expressed the desire of visiting Malaysia (Batu caves). Excited upon hearing this, they themselves sought Appaji’s permission before me getting one. This surprise program got fixed in 2 weeks. Want to conduct an auspicious program at ashram. Since Lord is Mother Goddess’ son, conducting Chandi Homam seemed apt. All our trustees, volunteers, matru Mandali, children love Homam. Coming 24th is the date fixed for that Homam. Let the result of the Homam reach you all. Let the result of this darshan, rituals also will reach everyone. Let all your problems solve and let good health adorn your body. May al of you get Guru bhakthi and willingness to serve Guru. May all good things be received by you. Lord Muruga’s grace always will reside in you. I pray thus…
