We heard Sri Ravindraji’s speech on the Vedas. There are various karmas mentioned in the Vedas. Which karmas should be compulsorily performed? To answer this questions, we should seek the darshan of the Dashatavatar’s (the 10 incarnations of Maha Vishnu).
“Mastyaha kurmo varahascha,
Naarsimhmodha Vamanaha
Raamo Ramascha Ramascha
Krishanah Kalkichatedasha “
This describes the Dashavatara.
Our Sadguru, Sri Swamiji has spoken about the Dashavataras in the Bhagavatam.
The first incarnation is the Mastyavatara.
In this avatara, the Lord taught us that we should study the Vedas.
“Vedan udharate Jagannivahate,
Bhugola Mudhbibrate. “
The purpose of the Matsyavatara is the protection of the Vedas. The Lord took effort, went into the waters and killed Somakasura and brought back the Vedas. He blessed and handed over the Vedas to Brahma. From Lord Brahma, we all received the Vedas.
In the description of the Dashavataras, if protection of the Vedas, is the first incarnation, then, we may conclude, that the study of Vedas is the first duty of all. With this, life must begin. Study and teach the vedas. The Lord showed it to us by protecting the Vedas. We must protect, learn, study, and teach the vedas. With this, Lord is happy and we get His blessings. The practise of vedas is our first duty. Encourage and support the Veda Schools (Pathashala).
Lot of service is being done by Sandeepani Maharshi Vidya Samsthan, Ujjain. Any amount of service done for Veda Pundits (Veda priest and practitioners) and Veda Students, is less.
In today’s world, there are a lot of distractions. Being in this robe, is not very easy. Children may get distracted. Students live in the Veda Pathashala and study for 11-12 years. This is difficult. They learn for the protection, upliftment and propagation of vedas.
Sri Swamiji urges one and all to do service to the Veda Pundits and Veda students. Support the Veda students. Give them what they need and help them, so that they study well.
This way the traditions of Bharat is protected. Encourage the Veda Pundits and the Veda students. Sandeepani Maharshi Vidya Samsthan, support many Veda Pundits and students. More efforts should be put in the same direction to protect the traditions and knowledge of Bharat.
Every year, the number of students are increasing. It is wonderful to see and know this. Every year, there should be growth in numbers. Yesterday, I visited the examination centre. Examiners, Ram Ganapathi and Gurunatha Ganapathi, informed that the students are giving exams very well and are very sincere. The examiners informed that, facing many challenges, the students have practised hard and are appearing for the exams. They said, if they are certified from Datta Peetham, they will perform well, anywhere they go in the world. I felt very happy hearing this.
That is why Sri Swamiji established Veda Nidhi, that is why He is conducting the Veda examinations, that is why the learned scholars and students come here, every year.
Sri Swamiji blesses one and all. Now, certificates would be distributed.
