We had a wonderful Bhajan session. I am very happy. Amazing. They sang all new (Navaratri 2018) bhajans. All of you, not just the Ashrama group, must learn the new bhajans. That is why we are broadcasting this Bhajan session on Livestream. Come here and learn or learn on Skype. Repeat the Bhajan a few and you will get it. The more you sing, the more your voice will be set. If you practice daily, your voice box will be well set. Your vocal cords will function well with daily practice. If you sing once in a while, the sweetness will be missing. It will look like you are stitching words together.
It is in Swamiji’s practice to sing daily. You must sing Divya Nama Sankeertan daily before going to bed. Make this a practice. You must sing at least one bhajan. If you find a group to sing with, join together and sing. The more you sing, the sweeter the Bhajan will sound. As you keep digging the earth, you will find potable water. Each layer of earth contains different kinds of water. First, it’s dirty water and then it’s salty water. The diggers go beyond that to find drinking water. This water is sweet. In some arid regions, they’ll only hit rock when they dig deep, but otherwise, you will find sweet drinking water.
Sing daily. Your voice will not bend to your singing if you sing only once a month. The tune may look easy, but you must practice daily. I also learned this the hard way. To get the sweetness of the song, you must sing daily. Many don’t swallow the saliva, they keep spitting it away. They will have water deficit in their body. They will soon have kidney trouble. Some keep spitting even if they smell bad odors. Only when some foreign particle is in your mouth should you spit. Otherwise, you should swallow your saliva. It improves your digestion. It will counter the acidity in the stomach. If you keep spitting saliva, you must at least drink water. It won’t be the same, it is weaker, but it’s some compensation.
So the voice box must open up. If it is not exercised enough on a daily basis, it will not open up. If you are shy, sing daily in the bathroom while you are showering. You can sing when there’s no one at home. You must sing daily. Otherwise, the voice box will not listen to you. The more you sing, the better the tune. The more you dig, the sweeter the water. The more you spit, the more diseased you get.
Normally, the new bhajans take 10-15 days to update in the app. Now, the new bhajans are already on the app the day after they are sung. There is no need to search for the lyrics anymore. You must make use of this app. If you cannot make good use of technology, life is difficult. Swamiji’s songs should reach the entire world. They should be on everyone’s phone. The app is really good. The moment you see the app, you want to sing. You already know some of the songs on the app. We should make the songs sweet by practicing it consistently.
Do not sing the Bhajans that Swamiji sang free style. There are certain compositions that are harder. Those are sung free style by Appaji. Those are only for your listening. You must not sing them in public. Why not sing the several bhajans that Appaji has set to tunes. You cannot sing the free style Bhajans like Swamiji does. There are thousands that you can sing. Do you choose the ones that Swamiji sang free style, so you can be called great? Instead, you will be de”great” – degraded. You must also leave out the shlokas Appaji sings in bhajans. You can sing at home, but not at a public program. You must ask the Ashram for suggestions. Send the list of your bhajans for public events to Sri Mani or Sri Jaitra. They will and tell you which ones you can sing.
You all sang new bhajans very well. You need the leading voice from the celestial troupe just like it happened today. You should not reject their support. Before the Puja, I practice the song a little. If I get even a half hour I will practice. But I get barely 5 minutes before the Navaratri Pujas. So, I quickly look at them. But you had time. You had Mani to lead. You sang well.
Today is Ekadasi. We had the Ekadasi Shanti Homa. Many participated in the Homa. Swamiji will bless the sponsors. Happy Navaratri once again. We are already missing the festivities a day after Navaratri. These are memorable events in our life. Many years later, we will remember these events. These memories help us progress in our life. These are beautiful memories. We should not miss them. Collect these memories as much as possible. Try your utmost to attend these programs.
There is another important thing. I will tell you if you listen. Many listen and then dust it off from their memory soon after. Everyone must resolve to have 10 new people install SGS Posts. Or, I will simply stay in Shuka Vana. I have a room there anyway. You must be as stubborn as I am. This is Kaliyuga, you have to pay for truth. Give away a pen and a chocolate to people installing SGS Posts. In the old day courts, they used to pay the witnesses to lie. These days, you have to pay them to speak the truth. The app is good for people that install it. But you have to bribe them with a pen or a chocolate for them to install the app. It is a shame that we have to do that. But that is okay. So many people have been transformed because of the app.
