Interview with HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji during the Mauna Seminar and the concert “Mauna Dhyana Raga Sagara” – Congresscenter in Davos, Switzerland – July 27, 2019

HH: From 1976, I’ve been travelling. But from 1980… 81… been doing it seriously… giving such a… healing music. We can call it Vibration Music or Celestial Music. I have done a lot of research on this kind of music for 18 years.
It’s my mother… she used to tell me that this music makes crops grow better, flowers bloom better and cows give more milk, and so on. Then, I was thinking… Why not experiment it on humans? So, I asked my mother, “Why don’t we experiment it on humans?”
“That’s your job,” She said, “That’s your work, and that’s one of the reasons why you have taken this birth!”
Then… as I began… I found out that… it is a huge responsibility with risks. So many people are taking medicines but many of them are not getting healed. And this makes them very tensive. Also, there are very chronic illnesses. I have seen so many different people suffering like this in the world tours I took. I have done complete world tours, covered the whole world (smiles)… I have done tours so many times… 100 times… 150 times, I think. But I am not tired—let me add it!
So… anyway, I am travelling… different continents I went. I have given such a musical… I am not calling it a ‘concert’, rather…like… Celestial Music Sounds… a sound of different sorts.
So, people are very happy about this music. And not only music but also bhajans I am singing also. People like it… I am not a very good singer… but people like it very much. Because, a Bhajan is… it’s only a collection of god’s names… and in different tunes I am singing it. And with meanings… that’s important.
So… this time I am feeling very happy, and here I am in Europe, especially this place… it has very good vibration.
And also, I heard about Davos… Why I am choosing this Davos is because so many good people are coming here, arranging and attending meetings, and discussing about their own… upliftment, upliftment of and implementing it all… in their own countries. So you want to give good vibration to this place. Then those people would get good vibration which helps them… in turn, their countries… then the world is at peace. That’s how and why I do it.
I believe in Vibrations. You see, it’s like… we both are talking now… this… the vibrations of this talk… for 40 years this will be going around in the atmosphere on another plane of existence. Sounds—musical notes—are also like that. That’s why I have chosen this place.
My tour is very very good. And also… L. Subramaniam also… is in with this music troupe. He is a very big musician and very famous. And he says, as his personal experience, “I healed” with this kind of music.
Question of interviewer: A great part of your programme is on Mouna (Total Silence). Why is this Mouna so important for humans?
Answer of HH: Mouna. You see, this Mouna Programme is not a Mouna Court—with strict laws and rules exercised by an authority. It’s rather like a Gathering… Mouna Gathering. People gather for 2 days, 3 days, and sometimes, 5 days and 6 days… and try to be in Mouna. Because, as much as possible, we must strengthen our central nerve system and all the nerves… And all our Chakras, including our Sahasrara (The Chakra on top of the head). This Mouna Gathering does that.
These nerves and Chakras… they all get very tired. Because from Birth until Death they always work, without a break, and they are very tired… all these nerves. So you want to give some rest to them. Not enough night-time sleeping, 4 hours… 3 hours… 6 hours… not enough… for a human-being.
If you take Mouna… in that state, you give no work for the brain… like, thinking this and that… slowly you stop thinking… and you must stop all the works as well… sit only in Mouna… and in that state you can look within you for your Atma… like, who is the Creator… in this body… who is the Creator in this world… you must search inside. To travel within our body. To travel to look for such things… then it is very nice, a nice travel, a nice experience. If you have ever tried to sit in Mouna any time before… then you know how it is, you got that good experience.
If you sit just for one hour… in Mouna… daily, it will increase the strength of your nerve system. And also longevity as well. Old age… People find it very difficult to face old age. Nowadays average old age is 80 years 85 years 90 years… we are seeing many people who are finding it very difficult to face old age. Can’t see… can’t hear… can’t look… can’t eat… Doctors also say nothing doing… that person is like a… it’s like a good small baby… after 80, 90 years you are like a baby. (smiles). Like a small baby. That time, this practise of Mouna that you do now would be quite useful. That’s why it’s important, this Mouna.
Question of interviewer: You are talking about the Raga Ragini Nada Yoga. And in that You have paid much attention to Nada Sikiksha… music therapy. Is it possible to explain the mystery of Your music? We see, while You present the music, that You use crystal balls and bars, and Mudras (Ritual gestures, mostly performed with the fingers) and Your companions are playing music… what’s happening there?
Answer of HH: Music is responded in the crystals. Pure crystals. Music is responded in the Aakaasha (Skies). Music is responded in colors. Music is responded in the earth. Music is responded in the water—that’s why Swamiji says, “After music, take some water!” People who are familiar with this music know this. They already know this and they are drinking water after such music.
So this kind of Panchaboothaa’s Response to a music sound… happens in our body as well, since our body too is made of Panchaboothaa only. Complete Panchabootha (The Five Elements- earth, water, fire, wind, and sky/space). There is water there inside. Fire is there. Aakaasha is also there. Everything you need is in there, in the body.
So you put in this kind of music into the body… with the help of crystal—crystal means clean crystal… crystal like in Shiva—I believe in Lord Shiva—and also with the help of Mudras… Mudras also help.
What happens here is… People concentrate. If you hold a crystal up and show a Mudra, people will look at it with concentration—all the while hearing this music, which goes on, on one side. This way, as they concentrate on the crystal and Mudra, the good vibrations of this music is effectively transferred into their body and to their nerve system.
Some people get illness, get sick, because of a nerve becoming affected or going dead. How to heal that nerve? With this sound of music. Definitely it can be done. It has been recognised by scientists and has been proven scientifically as well. Music heals. Music makes you go to sleep peacefully. Like a tranquillizer. Music brings happiness. People forget their problems completely.
By using crystals and Mudras, I gather, concentrate, and transfer the good effects of this music into their body. There are so many tools used—I use only these two tools here, one is Crystal the other is Mudra. Sometimes I use other tools as well, like Water and Fire. Usage of Fire is done in a different way. Fire is used by way of doing Homa. All the times in my visits I do Homa. That is Agni (Fire). From this Agni also I am taking in vibrations, and also use it as a means to transfer this music’s vibrations into the body. Aakaasha also I am utilizing—through the crystal I am taking in Aakaasha’s vibration response. Depending on the situation, I use one or more tools in combination, to transfer the vibrations into your body, while you concentrate on the crystal and Mudra. So, that’s why that concentration is important.
People are looking at it—the crystal and the Mudra—with concentration, while hearing this music on one side. At that instant, I deliver the concentrated vibrations into the body. I use it as an injection. Sometimes the medicine has to be delivered directly into your bloodstream and a syringe with needle is used for that purpose. The syringe is the tool here.
Similarly, that syringe is the Crystal, Mudra, Water, Fire, Aakaasha and such tools that I use. And the medicine that is injected here is my music that I give.
Now you understand. (smiles).
Question of interviewer: I want to understand more… When we see You on that stage, with Your companions, You are the leader of that group, You have so much positive energy, You direct that energy to the musicians and then it gets stuck, embedded, in the music! How do You do that… (in awe) how do You control their minds?
Answer of HH: I am giving it, the energy and vibrations, to music… I am calculating for rhythm, I am calculating for music, I am calculating for audience, I am calculating for their illnesses and the required vibrations, I am calculating for myself, and then I am joining the music to it all. That’s a lot of work involved here. Lot of work.
When I give such a music program, that night I won’t be sleeping. Yesterday (last night, after the program has ended) I had no sleep. I was not sleeping at all. I was fully awake. And also so many vibrations were coming in. So many… like, hundreds and hundreds of vibrations coming in. I was sorting them out and directing them onwards to the rightful destinations, showing them ways and providing them with good paths.
So, musicians I am controlling. People I am controlling. And, myself I am controlling—that’s the important thing here—and all these while controlling the music I am producing. It’s not me or my mind but Almighty who does all these. It’s only God’s Grace, I am doing this music.
Question of interviewer: And all those positive energies… also go into the CDs, VCDs, DVDs, Prints… How come that the energy is still kept in the… those media?
Answer of HH: Yes! Because that’s Belief! Faith! One’s Strong Faith! That Belief… like, between Husband and Wife. Like children—believe. Like business—believe. This whole world stands on Belief all the time. If something happens to that Belief… it’s all over. Broken! So that’s why… you’re believing on Swamiji’s music, definitely it will work. Listening to any cassette or CD, listening to any media this music is on, definitely it works—the Vibrations. And also, because you believe so, I am appearing in that Cassette or CD, My presence is there in that media, in that music.
Question of interviewer: Yes. Swamiji, we’re now in Davo, Switzerland, where the environment is heaven-like. But still, we live in a world, on a planet, in great danger. And these days, even scientists believe that if nothing effective is done then within a few years we will reach a point of no return! What has to be changed in humans to avert this catastrophe?
Answer of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji: Humans want always facilities. Comforts. Humans want to always enjoy. Humans want always good food and enjoyment. So, more and more factories come up. So many different different factories, and also the environment is spoiled. Complete environment is spoilt. If you go to some forest, you can see that they are cutting and cutting it all, all the trees in the forest. The people are doing so many mistakes. And they are taking out oil from the bosom of the Earth. This makes it loosened inside. So, earthquake is also coming.
So, human beings must be given awareness about this. The respective governments should give awareness to their people. I am also doing it—giving awareness to people—on my part, I am giving it as much as possible, telling people… like… Please, you must have a shutdown on electricity for one day in a while, don’t use the car for one day, like that. So, this will save… definitely it will save. So, one day… you don’t take food, or take only one meal, one day you fast, or one night you fast… that food is also saved that way.
So, this is human’ responsibility—not of all swamis’ or gods’. Humans’ responsibility! We have to give awareness to people. And also governments also should give awareness to people, something about what I have mentioned earlier… like, coming up of so many extra-indulgence factories, cutting away the trees and destroying the forest, and rivers also… like, turning the course of the rivers to make them join other rivers… it’s all… all these things are… BAD. Totally wrong. It’s all going against the Nature and that of the Earth. So, they say already… Earth is on its way to Pralaya (Total Dissolution/End of Days).
So many days this Pralaya, albeit in a smaller scale, has happened and is happening. (Like, Tsunamis, Sea-level rising, Volcanoes, Forest fire, etc.) It’s natural. It’s like a purification process of the planet. It purifies itself. (Like what happens with a forest fire.) Definitely one day it will happen. (The planet turns over itself. And becomes fresh and rejuvenated.)
And so… it comes near. It’s nearing. The Pralaya. It’s coming very near. So, this is all… the planet’s natural process of its own purification…
Question of Interviewer: Can you please explain this… Pralaya?
Answer of HH: Pralaya means… Earth Pralaya (Earthquake) Jala Pralaya (Deluge), Agni Pralaya (Fiery destruction)… so it’s all coming to… for example, Jala Pralaya is like… several small small dweepaas, islands, they have vanished, got submerged, they are swallowed by the ocean. Because, in certain places, these people are piling up mud and other materials and rise-up the ground, so that sea won’t come in, and they create real-estate that way, against the Ocean. But what happens, Ocean will always take back what is its, what belongs to it, its own land.
In the same way, animals are also coming to the city. Because these people are spoiling animals’ habitats—our forests. (Cutting trees, building and farming, and thereby destroying the forest. So where would they, the animals, live then?) So animals are coming into the city. So, their forest has now become our city. One day. These people did it. Where will the animals go? So they are coming to—in fact—their own place! And the people are killing them.
So, they are killing the animals, they are cutting the trees, they are taking land from the sea, they are doing so many… ugly things. Hence, Pralaya is coming. So, it’s the duty of people to have awareness of this.
But, that said, it will be all only a little bit of help. It won’t ensure one hundred percent safety against Pralaya. Because Pralaya is bound to happen once in a while. It’s a natural process. It’s like an ongoing event, like clockwork… tick tick tick tick…. Sunday Monday, Monday Tuesday, like that. It won’t happen backwards. Won’t come back. Time moves in forward direction only. It’s going to go only forward. (Good for us because) it all happens on God’s grace.
