Do not worry about not earning gold medal. That you got the opportunity to sit along with me on stage and chant Bhagavad Gita is far more valuable than the gold medal. However, those who have not yet earned gold medal should continue unrelentingly till you earn it. Rectify your mistakes. Even those who have earned gold medal must keep revising the Bhagavad Gita chapters on weekly basis. Ensure that every month you revise all chapters of Bhagavad Gita once or twice. Only then it stays in memory. This valuable knowledge should not get erased from memory. It is far more valuable than even an IAS certificate.
When you have the deep interest and desire towards Bhagavad Gita, automatically you will memorize it. You must teach your siblings or other friends. You should bring others closer to Swamiji through this method. Many new devotees have come through this method. You can teach your father, mother, grandparents, friends or anyone else. Force them to memorize. Teach them daily without fail. Teach your relatives and neighbours.
When my grandchildren sit here and chant from memory, I cannot control my happiness. I am thrilled. All of you sitting here and chanting appear like tiny tots in my eyes, although in reality you are now adults. I don’t know how to bless you all. Not just a gold medal, I have given my mind itself to you all. You had in you the determination to get the gold medal from Swamiji’s hands.
Do you know that during the chanting we were transported to Dwapara yuga- Krishna’s period? Let me share with you all a great secret. Due to your ignorance you will not absorb what I am going to say now. But I am going to reveal a great secret- all of you were with me during Dwapara yuga. This is the truth. You were living during Krishna’s period. Else it is impossible for you to develop this level of devotion; to develop this degree of sacrifice and this degree of charitable attitude. The moment you see Swamiji you feel like sacrificing everything. What is this illusion no one understands. We do not even know what we are doing. Even after sacrificing everything you feel ashamed that you have given only a little. Only during Dwapara yuga- during Krishna’s period it would happen thus. Since this trait is there in all of you it is evident that you existed during Dwapara Yuga. You understand for yourself who you were and who I am.
All the students who have memorized Bhagavad Gita must complete their school education properly. Complete higher studies and come to me. I will be happy. Today in queue many came to me saying, ‘Swamiji, this is my first salary’. Tears welled up in my eyes hearing these words.
