This Laksha Srisukta Homa is a very rare Yagna that is taking place now. The sankalpa to do this came when Swamiji was giving the upadesha of Tripura Rahasya. This is being done by around 200 students who have studied in Ashrama Pathashala here. All of them are well settled and are pursuing big jobs. Having accepted our invitation, they are doing the Yagna here. In this context, all of you also are doing the Yagna and Homa with ghee. Mother Goddess is “Cidagni kunda sambhuta”. She resides in the fire pit. She is Mahakali, Mahadurgi, Maha saraswati and she is of the form Bala Tripura Sundari and Bhagalamukhi too. She is the Jaganmata who takes on various forms. We usually offer worship to Mother Goddess with flowers, turmeric and akshata along with Ashtottara and Sahasranama. In the same manner, in this Homa which is done with ghee, we must not wish for anything. This is a wonderful opportunity to do for Mother Goddess in life. For 80 years, I have not done this sankalpa. I used to be doing Homa on behalf if everyone.
This sankalpa has happened all of a sudden. We did not even announce during Birthday celebrations too. Had we announced, many devotees from many outside countries would have stayed back and participated. Now, those who have the fortune of doing are participating in it. This is a Homa done without wishing for any desires. We must not wish anything from Mother Goddess. We should just keep doing our duty, for she will herself bless us. If we ask, we get only what we have asked. But, if we don’t ask, she gives abundantly and all our desires will be fulfilled. If we ask for one boon, then only that boon will be fulfilled. If we ask nothing, then all our desired will be fulfilled. Mother Goddess is compassionate. Her grace is endless. Therefore, we are doing Yagna with ghee along with Swamiji, devoid of any desires.
