Veera Hanuman ki Jai!
There is Bhagavad Gita Parayana tomorrow. Everyone must assemble by 9am here in Nada Mantapa.
(Swamiji is encouraging all participants to practice chanting without the mid-point break.)
Bhagavad Gita is reverberating throughout the world, and therefore, there are also many opposing it. The rakshasa aspect too increases just like the kaurava sena did. We should not fall into that trap. This is not about existence of God. This is the about the Guru’s teaching. Krishna is our Guru. We proudly state that God Himself gave us the Gita. Of course, that is true too. Krishna is an incarnation of God. But He is Guru to us. Like Guru Gita is Bhagavad Gita. It transforms our Gita (Gita also means line/destiny). That is our faith, tradition and legacy. You must not get discouraged listening to naysayers. In fact, you should get even more resolute in your faith. You should make children get even more stubborn. The naysayers and opposers are amongst us, nay even in our family. We should not pay attention to that. We should be stubborn about our tradition. It is not superstition. It is logical and faith-based. If you study Gita Swara Prastara, you will understand.
I would have liked at least 50% of the crowd here to have studied the books. But there are only 11. You can finish studying the books in a week, like a Parayana. You can quickly read the book, but you must understand the matter. You must study it so you can remember. You must make time to study everyday consistently. You can study for an hour every day, give up TV and other distractions. All your questions and doubts are cleared when you study the book. Many say Gita is fictional. Gift them the Gita Swara Prastara. They will at least be silent even if their questions are not fully answered. That is how Swamiji has written that book. Those who take the book today will get HH sign on it.
Even though there were problems in life, ups and downs, darkness and light, you have fully taken refuge in Datta Guru who is the 6th incarnation of the Lord. All other incarnations vanished, but Datta and Narasimha have remained. Shiva neither takes birth, nor goes away.
Many used to take Datta Deeksha before, you should start again. You add some dates and some coins and some other ingredients in a dry coconut and place that in a green cloth and for 3 days, you eat food that has no salt or spice. Matru Mandali may get the mudupu ready. (mudupu is the coconut tied in a green cloth with all the ingredients). Datta Deeksha is very good for health. People use substitutes for salt and spice (ginger instead of chilli). You can survive without added salt for two days, other food items naturally have salt. Instead of sour taste, you can use some other ingredients. It’s okay to use rock salt in place of regular salt.
God has given us many ways around the rules. We should use very moderate salt, not too much. So many beings survive, they don’t use added salt, other food items have salt in them. All of you take Datta Deeksha. You can do Deeksha for the world, or for your own health, or for a family member, or for a job, or for studies, or for court cases. You can take deeksha for any of these reasons. You can do deeksha for Sadguru as well. You must make this sankalpa while you take deeksha. 80% of devotees tie Toram for Swamiji in Dallas and other temples. I am in good health because of that.
Many tie Poornaphala for Swamiji’s health, especially if He is going on a tour. They feel Swamiji is their family member. Some places have Poornaphala and some have Toram. This is not about belief. It is about the mind getting aligned. When the mind is good, we are good. For the mind to be good, we need to do these things. We should do it with faith.
I often narrate this story. There was a coconut garden with about 200 trees. Except one, the rest of the trees’ fruits were harvested. That one tree had oversized coconuts. The owner would never harvest the fruits from that one tree. One day, the fruits on that tree were stolen by a thief. The owner was surprised. He realized – today is Saturday and the thief will likely sell them at the farmer’s market today. The fruits of this size are rare. The man went to the market and found a man selling these oversized coconuts. They caught the man and demanded to know where he got them from. The man initially defied them and said they were his fruits. Finally, the owner said: It is okay, you can keep the fruits, no problem. How did you get on that tree in the first place? There is a venomous black serpent on that tree, so we leave that tree alone and only worship the snake. That snake’s bite is fatal. The thief heard this and was shocked. He said: I did feel the snake bite me twice. He said this and died.
The mind searched for the poison in the body and died. Until then, he was fine. This happens in other situations too. Some people who are driving and are in an accident lose their arm but continue driving. In that shock, they don’t realize their arm got detached. Only when the doctor reveals that the arm is gone does the person realize. When the mind is strong, no one can do anything to you. But when the mind is not strong, you will see a ghost when someone points to an imaginary one.

The entire story of Datta appears in this composition – how Datta tests and protects is all embedded in these four lines. This is a wonderful bhajan filled with spirituality.
Bhajan ID 2244.
This composition too has the entire Tattva of Datta – how He protects when you have faith in Him.
Singing Bhajans is like doing japam or chanting. Everyone practice these bhajans at home every day. Have your children practice. It is very good for you. Play Bhajan Babies for children religiously. Many children will not eat until they watch Bhajan Babies. Everyone must subscribe to it. Bhajan Babies must echo in every household. We all also are children, in the eyes of God.
There is an ashram called Panvel in Mumbai. It’s in New Bombay on the way to Pune. Swamiji is establishing a rare temple for Vitthala there. So, all of you can participate. Vitthala is not only a Maharashtrian God, He is like Datta. Like Venkataramana in Tirumala is Vitthala. Swamiji made the sankalpa to include. Panduranga temple, so everyone may join hands.

Many do not know about the nakshtra/star ragas. Yesterday, I started recording music for akashara mala. Akshara = letters – 52 of them.
Based on the beginning letter of your name (Ma for Meenakshi, Ka for Krishna for example), you will get the music. There are devatas for each akshara as well as for each part of the body. Yesterday, we started aksharam mala compositions.
Swamiji also experimented with bonsai trees. Each tree has its own color and vibrations and graphs. We follow the graph and play notes corresponding to them. Each plant has prana, but no jeeva. Every plant, every stone has sounds and vibrations that correspond to it. If we carve them out correctly, they will also give us the musical notes, the examples are right there in Nada Mantapa. This is proof that Paramatma pervades everything.
Every object has ECG like waves that are generated from it. Doctors use ECG to determine the health of our heart. Every tree and every object has such vibrations. A scientist has been working on a device to identify the waves. The waves are different when you water the plant, when you give it warmth, when you touch it or when you expose it to cold, etc. Based on the waves, Swamiji is presenting sounds. Every object in the world, bar none, responds to music.
In this ether are countless waves. So many are talking, so many vibrations are recorded in the ether. The sky is filled with these waves. Scientists are now catching these waves and decoding the underlying thoughts. There is technology coming to control your thoughts as well. That is why you must not use smart devices as much. It is storing your information right now and not doing much. But one day, once it gathers all the information, then it will act. There were movies about this before, and now it’s all coming true.
We rely on Siri for everything – what you should eat, when you should poop – are all controlled by AI because you rely so much on it. One day, it will control you fully. What is the remedy? Reduce your use of smart phones. Use your brain. You are not using your brain; you are completely depending on AI. Then, your intellect will diminish. AI will capture your entire nature and intellect. Stop using Google for everything. Study books and do research and store it in your memory. You don’t need to use Google all the time.
We use Google Maps and other maps services and are completely reliant on it. The driver will not even use his discretion; he will follow maps even if it is wrong. Google Maps will not admit it was wrong, it will just lead you on the route.
We may know the place, yet we use Google Maps. You must use your head to remember directions to places you know. That is why AI will control you completely. Trains, buses, flights all will stop. You will all suffer. Yesterday, 3000 planes stopped due to computer glitches. If computers malfunction, flights will all stop. It takes a long time to fix.
We have become completely dependent. We are creating difficulty for ourselves with this dependence. You will set a passcode for your phone that you don’t want anyone to know, but you also forget that code. We are surrendering our buddhi to computers and are becoming puppets. We are almost where devices can cook our food if we just name what we want.
Avoid googling every single thing.
A message to the world – do not be elated or dejected. During prosperity and adversity, always be equanimous, that is when we can live happily. Be as stable when you have everything as when you have nothing. You must not be dependent on an object for your happiness. You will long for it and that deprives you of happiness. Those who live with equanimity will be happy.
Bhagavad Gita teaches us to be balanced. The life of the intelligent one with discernment is happy. Sri Rama is a great example. We hail him as God. If someone does good to us, we feel God is helping us.
Sri Rama was about to be coronated after dawn. Sri Rama did not spend the night in joy and elation. In the morning, when he learned he had to be in exile in the forest instead, he did not get dejected or desolate. He did not lament the loss of the kingdom. He remained as he was. That is how we should learn to be. We should never give in to disappointment and desolation.
He did not get angry with his step mother or father. He did not hate himself. He did not crave luxuries in the kingdom. That is why Sri Rama was always established in supreme wisdom. We should also learn to be like that. Sri Rama reached divinity through such a character and became a role model for all.
The noble Pandavas were similar. They were happy with what they had, they faced situations boldly and did not blame God or the Time for their misfortunes.
We got Covid, but many used the time very well. We used every hour very productively, otherwise, I would not have done Mahabharata and other scriptures during that time. We developed content right away and the children in the studio were all busy every minute. We do not know how those two years passed.
But man is not learning even from the greats. He just sits idly and builds castles in air. Some want money, but they don’t strive on the dharmic path. They want power (but don’t work for it) or fame (but do not do charity). They want God to appear immediately. They approve of God only when God grants their boons immediately. Gitacharya (Sri Krishna) who witnessed this gave us the shloka:
karmanyevadhikaraste…
You must certainly do karma; you must abandon all desire for fruit. Yet man does not understand. He puts that wisdom aside.
Therefore, the Puranas also state…O man! Whatever appears nectarous is all poison. Many like eating sweets, but they will suffer from obesity or diabetes after. Bitter gourd is bitter, but good for the tummy. Neem leaves are good for health, you can eat two leaves per day, it helps the gut. We don’t eat those kinds of things, we eat only what pleases the tongue. We are often told that what’s good for the tongue is not necessarily so for the body, but we don’t heed those words.
Man must certainly follow the eternal wisdom. The real human is one who is neither elated nor dejected. We should not react to either. We must practice being equanimous.
The truly happy person is the one who isn’t attached to his wealth, so the lack of it will not affect him.
Know the value of words and speak only as needed.
The one who uses time wisely will win.
The one who has noble thoughts will never fall from Dharma.
The one who associates with the pious will become noble.
See others’ joys and sorrows as yours and share in them. Help others as much as possible.
A Jnani experiences true happiness.
The one who has spiritual contemplation will be happy in life.
The one who follows these rules steadfastly will control his indriyas and will live happily and will fulfill his life.
May all of you understand this and implement it in your lives. May you be equanimous in joy and sorrow.
We should neither be elated nor dejected. When you are not elated you will not be dejected either. If you can be immune to joys, the lack of joys will not affect you.
