Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – Sri Chakra Puja – April 4, 2026 – SGS DYC, Burlington, NJ, USA

Pavan Suta Veera Hanuman ki Jai!
Jai Sri Ram!

This (temple) is a dream come true. New Jersey people are very happy with this small miracle. Miracles happen all the time. Your gathering here with Swamiji is also a miracle.

Yesterday, you witnessed the Kumbhabhishekam. Our shastras say that if you witness a Kumbhabhishekam and participate in the seva – I will not call it a new temple – you get the merit of doing a Rajasuya Yajna. That is huge merit.

Watching one Kumbhabhishekam gives the fortune of doing the extraordinary Rajasuya Yajna. So, we do not want to miss doing this with the guru, with our Guru, our family. Do not miss even once. Participate as much as possible in all the programs because we do not know when we will get the call to return. We are ready to continue our journey.

I have said many times that our journey is very long. The preparation is also very serious. If you travel, you pack so many things and arrange for a hotel, car, etc. The preparation itself could take a week even though your trip is only two days long. There’s thinking and arguing and discussing and debates about holidays, financing, etc. Finally, you all came here. Do not miss even a single day of the program. That is why Swamiji is giving time Saturday and Sunday for other Jnana Bodha Sabha people as well.

This Hanuman looks different, but Hanuman is the same. The forms may be different, there may be different incarnations, energy is the same. Our faces and habits are different, but we are all human beings. We just have different characteristics and different karma.

This Creation is our Creation, because you are responsible for your creation. You are creating your next creation due to your karma. Do not blame God, blame yourself. Think about yourself carefully.

Thank about all the karma. Develop good karma, good thoughts, and good character. That is why we need to follow the proper teacher and do good karma. Our children carry the same karma.

You must first do the right thing, then the children will follow. One day, they too will follow Dharma, because we protect Dharma. It is our responsibility. There are so many meanings for Dharma.

What is the exact meaning of Dharma?

If you follow good karma, that is also Dharma. If we do our duty correctly with the body and the intellect, while correcting ourselves, that is Dharma.

Rama is said to be Dharma. Rama is the one who devotedly followed Dharma to the tee. We get the virtues of those we worship. If you are devoted to Hanuman, He gives His good qualities to you. That is the boon. The Tattva of the deity is granted to you.

if you follow a good teacher or lecturer, he will guide you in your studies and your PhD. You must choose a good teacher. Sometimes, it is tough to choose a good teacher, we get deceived often. That is why we should pray to God for a good teacher.
That is why we pray to Ganapathi first. You don’t need to physically pray to Ganapathi, you can pray mentally. If you pray correctly, you will get good guidance, otherwise, it will be all wrong. So, you must choose a good Guru. This is very tough. Can we ask the Guru – are you good or not? We don’t know how to find a good Guru. Our heart will tell us. That is when we can follow.

Second, our habits and attitudes change, our heart feels joy and happiness, the mind gains some hope – when we meet our Guru.
We should not be in a hurry to follow a Guru because someone else is. You must test for yourself and analyze well. If you analyze correctly and pray well, the invisible God will guide you correctly.

So, you should not be greedy. Just because you are hungry does not mean you should eat mud. When the intellect is ruined, you cannot tell food from mud and you might eat mud, but when the intellect is healthy, you know good from bad.

Sure, hunger comes to everyone, but spiritual hunger is very important to address. We should have questions every day. Nothing wrong with getting questions, we get answers only when we have questions. We should have the quality of doing inquiry.

We can ask ourselves questions about this Creation and the relationships in our life. One day, you will get the answers, may not be immediately, but one day. Patience is the greatest penance. We won’t get all answers within a day, we will get them slowly.

If you want to know all such Vedantic secrets, you must study the Bhagavatam, you must listen to it. Bhagavatam is not the story of Krishna. It guides you on a great path. Study it again and again.

Do not keep lamenting about all the unfavorable happenings around you. Don’t overthink them, there is no use. You can do it up to a certain point, but after that, let it go. He will take care – we should have this stubborn faith and resolve. Otherwise, we will lose the time. To get success, it takes time, maybe even future births. You can try up to a level, but not excessively.

If someone is climbing a tree, you will support from behind up to a certain point, but after he reaches a certain height, you will let it go. This is what Bhagavatam teaches.

Everyone brought his/her karma with them. We cannot share karma with our spouse, children, etc. Each one has his balance, his karma. Just like your bank balance and your money is yours, your karma is yours. Just as you claim your house and money is yours, karma is too. There is no escape. You must experience it.

Who is a good friend for us? It is our spirituality. It’s the same thing I told you before, I am just giving it to you in different combinations. Sometimes I give you laddu, sometimes mysurepak, etc. It’s the same key message.

The teacher thinks about how best to communicate the lesson. He will find different ways to teach. But if you keep failing to understand, he will let you go as he needs to focus on other students too.

If you keep crying over one student, who’ll take care of the second student? The parents must also keep this in mind. If you only focus on the child who’s unwell, the child who’s healthy will ask if she needs to get unwell to get attention.

In reality, you must take really good care of the child who is well until she attains a certain age, then that child will take care of the other who is unwell, and also all the others who are all unwell.

If you keep wallowing in grief, you will simply waste time. If we argue about a movie we watched, what is the point?

The family sits and watches a movie, say Bahubali. An argument starts in between and nobody understands the movie at all after that.

Many come to the temple and start arguing here. That is not good. When we come to the temple, we should not grieve.

God is a good friend, God is like Mother, but we should not grieve excessively. What is the use of grieving every single time you see God? You must also focus on the positive.

We are all in the path of Bhakti, strengthen it. Do nama japa, chant Hanuman Chalisa. Have full faith on God. Never doubt God. Don’t wonder – Will I succeed or not? Will I get Swamiji’s darshan or not? The moment you have the negative, that negative will dominate. So, always be positive and resolute.

Have complete faith. We are here together due to some prior lives. Do not ruin this relationship. Do not misuse your freedom.
God gave you good freedom, use it, find out for yourself. Find out who you are. One day, must pass. Do not waste your time.

We have the great fortune of this human body, we have this human birth. We are supposed to learn some lessons; it will come to our intellect. I hope that you selected a good teacher, a good professor. I bless your PhD (achievement). To get your good boon, to attain your fulfillment, I bless you. You are following what your teacher is saying. I am very happy. May Lord Hanuman bless you all. The reason we have the name SGS is so that the temple takes shape faster. This is all part of our family.

The team came here and said everything happened due to Guru’s grace. While that’s true, Prasadi reminded that there is a big bank loan. That needs to be paid, so everyone participate in pujas and other sevas here. Even puja and sevas help the temple.
Do a yatra to this temple, help this temple as much as you can. Special blessings to all of you. Today is Saturday, Swamiji will be here tomorrow as well.

Swamiji made the sankalpa that He only visit this center this time and that is what Swamiji is doing. Due to your association, I have your habits now and I only visit Mysuru Ashrama for a few days just as you visit the Ashrama too. There are Fremont and Houston prathishttas later. And then we’ll have the Maryand prathishtha. All of you may join all these events in the future.

If possible, attend the concert on April 25 in Bharat Mantapa in New Delhi. There will also be a concert in Greece in April.
